The subject matter here is just so intense it's almost unfathomable. Yet it happens! In Maura's Nightmare the viewer can see the abuse Maura has suffered all her life. Dreams of her childhood flood abhorrent memories relived in nightmares. As was Maura's childhood, this scene is graphic and violent in a most disturbing manner.
